A brilliantly simple yet striking photographic and type advertising campaign for Nike's Spring/Summer 2011 collection. The 'Be Free' advertisement campaign is the brainchild of art photographer Denis Darzacq and director Barnaby Roper. The video and advertisement campaign communicates brilliantly to their main target audience- young influentual women- perhaps considered about appearance, weight or wellbeing, as many women in the modern day have become.
In their campaign they show women suspended, levitating and floating in the air, free from confinment and restrictions and empowered by their abilities.
I think the bold, artistic direction and photography works brilliantly in this campaign and communicates strongly and effectively with the help of strong and visually loud typefaces in their printed media- a refreshing and memorable idea from the sports and lifestyle brand.
