Since first visiting Si Scott's work whilst working on a Graphic Design and Illustrative type module at college, I have been really inspired by the craft and dedication that goes into creating his stunningly crisp and detailed hand-rendered illustrative type creations. A combination of patterns, character/letterform manipulation and well-considered colour palettes make each of Si Scott's designs unique, considered and visually communicative- the design for the 'Wickedly Good' illustrative type (directly above) being a prime example of how small yet significant pictogram-like elements and symbols can add a great deal to the character and communication of a design.
