Design Practice III//Negotiated Briefs//Jessie Leong Photography & Photography Business Cards.

Continuing to explore potential branding and design paths for one of the ten negotiated briefs for Design Practice III, Jessie Leong Photography, I decided to research some existing examples of Photography branding, and, in particular, stationary produced to visually communicate the photographers style and design portfolio.

From the top projects featured from my search, it was evident that the variation between projects was great. Although some, such as Finn O' Hara's branding (directly below) by Tag Collective demonstrated a clear originality and confidence within the type heavy, yet minimal design, though the majority, as I've found in the past have been rather "samey"- often dependent upon image cliches such as film reels or lens icons, which is something I want to particularly avoid in Jessie's brand development, and focus far more on a strong, and original brief.

Over the next couple of weeks I hope to explore and develop the visual identity, all examples of which will be found on my Design Practice blog.

  1. Hey! Thanks so much for featuring the film roll business card which I designed, it's really flattering. I'm glad you like it. Love, Grace.
