Again, whilst going on to research some cited sources of photographic inspiration for one of my briefs (designing the branding for student photographer, Jessie Leong), I have begun to research the portfolio of photographer, Miles Aldridge, whose work is really reflective of Jessie's own personal tastes within her own photographic style, once again, highlighting strong, independent women with a really bold use of set design and colour that is also reminiscent of photographer David LaChapelle's portfolio.
Jessies, and Miles' style of photography is high impact, portraiture/fashion which is wonderful for print and commercial work for it's sharpness, unique use of narrative and beautiful use of light and colour. Really keen to get started on the design side of the project now, and hopefully create a design which is as strongly and effectively visually communicative of both Jessie's work and her inspirations.
