Design Practice III//Negotiated Briefs//Jessie Leong & Lara Jade.

larajade.co.uk

Once again, going on to source research and inspiration for the photographer, Jessie Leong's branding, which I hope to be working on as part of the Design Practice III negotiated briefs module, I have decided to follow up on a suggestion of looking at the work of one of her favourite fashion and beauty photographers, Lara Jade.

Much like Jessie's own tastes and portfolio, Lara's work captures strong, independent and often beautiful women in a striking, high definition style, often with minimal, or very little post-production edits or alterations. In terms of the branding, compared to some existing photography branding I have already looked at (admittedly, all male photographers), the use of the serif typeface makes Lara's brand look a little more traditional and feminine, something of which I think isn't particularly appropriate for Jessie's own photography portfolio, but I will still keep as a consideration when developing the branding range, all work of which will, in the future, be found on my Design Practice blog.
