As part of my research for the brand development of student Photographer, Jessie Leong's brand and identity print and digital media, I have decided to also look at the photographers which inspire her design practice and portfolio, and to particularly look at how their style and specialisms may effect their branding.
One of the most notable photographers that Jessie cites as an inspiration is British and Italian Vogue photographer, Tim Walker, whose famous works are recognised globally thanks to his inventive and creative use of set design in balance with unique and beautiful fashions, often taking inspiration from literary or filmic works, as demonstrated in his editorial fashion shoot inspired by the films of Tim Burton (some examples, such as 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory/Great Glass Elevator), as shown at the bottom of the blog post).
In terms of Tim Walker's website (the web link, as shown below) this use of type is consistent and strong throughout, along with minimal, monochromatic colour scheme which ensures that his bright images take centre stage with a professional, clean and contemporary brand and identity to compliment them- something that I will certainly take into consideration when designing Jessie's own personal brand.
