As part of our initial ideas for the visual outcome for the YCN/Graze brief (although our ideas have now changed somewhat due to our target market and audience shift), Charlie and I wanted to focus on developing one of (because the branding of Graze is pretty inconsistent...) the design styles that Graze were currently using- particularly liking the more hand-rendered approach which is used on their snack pots, which we felt would work well screen printed, the method of production we are looking closest at as an affordable and environmental method of print production.
Over Christmas, I remembered looking at a book at my partner's parents house- the 'River Cottage Veg everyday' book by chef, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, which, they said to me, they had bought just as much for the recipes as much as for the images inside- beautifully hand-rendered and printed images which I think would translate really well into our own designs for Graze- perhaps looking at repeat print for the inside of our packaging? Great use of colour and textures also used.
