Researching a few examples of the various weird and wonderful Rubik's Cube variants and concepts that have been formed since the original Rubik's Cube was created and manufactured- some direct inspiration, others with really innovative and unique qualities- such as the typographic font generator and the Pantone swatch Rubik's Cube (which certainly appeal to my ever-so-slightly-nerdy Graphic Design tastes!)- as well as the twelve-sided dodecahedron design, which is a great example of just what can be achieved with an understanding of the construction and form of three-dimensional objects- really fun, novelty items- potential inspiration for any future development of my outcome design, and creating new scenarios and situations in which my Rubik's Cube three-dimensional model could be designed.
