A recent front cover edition of 'V' magazine, which highlights it's main theme as 'The Heroes Edition', whereupon the acclaimed actress, Kate Winslet, beautifully portraits the late, great screen icon, Elizabeth Taylor.
For me, this cover is something of real beauty- a wonderful, classic portrait in B&W with select spot colour of the lilac- toned purple adding more visual interest and character, whilst maintaining minimalist sophistication. The elongated, condensed typeface adds a touch of Art-deco glamour, whilst the gradient throughout the main cover 'V' adds depth and shade variation in the portrait.
