Design Production for Print//WES ANDERSON & VAMPIRE WEEKEND.

Vampire Weekend, the New York-based Indie Rock band, perhaps most famous for their hit 'Oxford Comma' with the line, 'Who gives a f*ck about an Oxford Comma?' (for the record, I do) have, on more than one occasion been linked to, and, notably inspired by the filmmaking of Wes Anderson- some going so far as to use the phrase "ripped off"... well, you make your mind up.
In the video for 'Oxford Comma', British comedian and director Richard Ayoade (famed for 'The I.T crowd', 'Submarine', etc) for a very middle-class, British precociousness and quirky charm- with more than a little bit of Futura Bold to boot- as can be seen throughout the entirety of their vinyl and album art work (see images below).
As well as Vampire Weekend, Wes is said to have made (often visibly) a great deal of influence and inspiration upon up and coming artists, designers, and, in particular, musicians such as The Decemberists and
Jose Vanders.
